About The Project
Designed as a weekend retreat for a young family from Atlanta, Forest Retreat was created as an escape from the pace of everyday life. For homeowners balancing demanding careers and raising three boys, the home offers a place to slow down, reconnect, and spend uninterrupted time together surrounded by nature.
Inspired by its wooded setting, the residence blends natural materials, warm textures, and timeless design to create an atmosphere that feels calm, welcoming, and deeply restorative. Every space was thoughtfully planned to support both quiet moments and the energy of family life.
The result is a lake home that feels like a true sanctuary—one where weekends are measured by time together, fresh air, and the simple luxury of leaving the outside world behind.
